Healthiest Vape Without Nicotine? What We Can Honestly Say

By the Deepkold Editorial Team · Published September 24, 2026 · Educational, not medical advice

We sell a nicotine-free vape, so you might expect us to call it the healthiest vape. We won't. There is no healthy vape. Any device that heats liquid into an aerosol you breathe in carries some risk, ours included. What we can do is show you the checks that "healthiest vape" lists actually use, then put a Deepkold 0% vape through each one, gaps included.

KEY TAKEAWAYS
  • No vape is healthy. "Healthiest" can only mean the fewest harmful inputs, and removing nicotine is the biggest single input you can remove while still vaping.
  • Healthiest-vape lists check four label facts: 0% nicotine, a short PG/VG/flavoring list, no diacetyl, no vitamin E acetate, plus whether the brand publishes lab results.
  • A Deepkold vape is 0% nicotine, batch-checked, with PG, VG and food-grade flavoring, and no diacetyl, no vitamin E acetate, no THC or CBD. We don't claim a USP grade and we don't post third-party lab certificates on this site. Those are honest gaps.
  • If you want less than a vape: refillable pods with a 0mg bottle you can read first, flavored air with no aerosol, or nothing inhaled at all.

Is there a healthy vape? The short answer

No. "Healthy" means something that helps your body, and breathing in a heated mix of propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin and flavoring doesn't. No health agency has cleared any vape as safe, and the National Institute on Drug Abuse treats vaping as a risk, not a remedy. When a brand calls its vape healthy, it is borrowing a word that doesn't fit the product.

The question people are really asking is narrower and has a real answer: of the vapes that exist, which one puts the fewest harmful things into your lungs? Harm from a vape comes from a short list of inputs, and nicotine is the largest one you can take out while still vaping. It is addictive, it raises heart rate and blood pressure, and it keeps you reaching for the next puff. So the healthiest vape without nicotine is simply a 0% device with nothing else questionable in the liquid. That is a lower-risk choice, not a healthy one. The longer version of that argument is in our guide to whether nicotine-free vaping is safe.

THE CHECKLIST · OUR OWN ANSWERS

The healthiest vape checklist, applied to Deepkold

Search "healthiest vape" and the answers, Google's summary included, keep coming back to the same few label checks. Here they are, what each one actually tells you, and our answer for a Deepkold vape. Where we can't say yes, we say so.

CheckWhat it actually tells youDeepkold 0% vape
0% nicotineRemoves the addictive stimulant, the biggest single input in most vapes. Look for "0%" or "0mg" printed on the pack, not just "nicotine-free" in an ad.Yes. 0% (zero nicotine), no nicotine salts, no tobacco. Each batch is checked for nicotine content to confirm it reads 0%.
Short, published ingredient listPG, VG and flavoring is the floor. Anything beyond that should be named.Yes. Propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, food-grade flavoring. Listed on The Lab.
No diacetylA buttery flavoring chemical linked to "popcorn lung" in factory workers who inhaled it. It has turned up in many flavored e-liquids, so a stated exclusion is worth having.Yes. None of our vape formulas contain diacetyl.
No vitamin E acetateThe additive behind the 2019 EVALI lung injuries. The FDA's sampling found it in THC cartridges. It has no reason to be in any nicotine-free e-liquid.Yes. Never used.
No THC or CBDKeeps the product what it says it is: flavor, not a cannabis vape.Yes. Zero cannabinoids of any kind.
USP-grade PG and VGA pharmacopeia purity grade for the base liquids. It is a purity standard, not proof that inhaling them is safe. Not claimed. We list the ingredients but don't state a pharmacopeia grade on the label.
Published third-party lab resultsAn ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation covers the lab's competence. The useful part is a published certificate per batch that shows what was tested. Not posted on this site. Our batch check covers nicotine content. Some zero-nicotine brands do publish full certificates, and that is a real point in their favor.
"Healthy" or "safe" on the labelA warning sign, not a check. No vape has earned either word.No. We make no health, safety, wellness or cessation claims.

These are label facts about our own product, not a health comparison. Deepkold is only for adults 21 and over.

What's inside a Deepkold 0% vape

One device, three flavor collections, the same liquid base in all of them. Here is the whole spec sheet, because the "healthiest vape" question is really a question about what's in the thing and what it does.

Nicotine0% (zero nicotine)
E-liquid16 mL: propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, food-grade flavoring
Battery650 mAh rechargeable · USB-C
Puffs~20,000-puff class (industry rating)

What stays the same as any vape: you still inhale a PG/VG aerosol, which can dry your mouth and irritate your throat, and food-grade flavoring is tested for eating, not proven safe to breathe in. Taking nicotine out doesn't change that, and we'd rather you hear it from us. The ingredient-by-ingredient walkthrough is in what is in a nicotine-free vape.

Healthier vape options by format: disposable, refillable, flavored air

"Healthy vape alternatives" can mean four different things. From the most like a vape to the least:

  1. A 0% nicotine disposable. Sealed device, so the brand's disclosure is all you get. This is where the Deepkold vape sits: $24.99, 9 flavors, no charging dock or refills.
  2. A refillable pod with 0mg e-liquid. You choose the bottle and can read its label before anything goes into the tank. Our Deepkold × JuiceKold Nicotine-Free Vape Juice is a 30 mL bottle of 0mg liquid (PG, VG, flavoring) for $12.99. See the 0mg vape juice →
  3. Flavored air. Diffuser-style inhalers that pass air over a scented core, with no heat and no aerosol. They feel much lighter than a vape. Our flavored air guide explains the trade-off.
  4. Nothing inhaled. Gum, mints and other things for your hands and mouth. The roundup is in alternatives to vaping.

Each step down removes something. None of them is a medical product, and none of them, ours included, is a quit-smoking aid. If you still use nicotine and want to cut down gradually, the low vs zero nicotine guide covers the middle ground.

Is there a healthiest vape flavor?

Not one anyone can prove. There's no study ranking vape flavors from least to most harmful, so any "healthiest flavor" list is guessing. What research does support is a caution about specific chemicals. Buttery, creamy and custard flavors were historically where diacetyl turned up: a 2015 Harvard study found it in 39 of 51 flavored e-cigarette products tested. That makes the "no diacetyl" statement matter most for dessert flavors. Our Vanilla Custard contains none, like every Deepkold formula.

"Ice" flavors get their chill from a cooling agent, not from anything medicinal, and some people find very cold vapor harsher on the throat. If that's you, the Deep Calm collection runs at a lower chill than Polar Ice / Frost. Beyond that, pick the flavor you'll enjoy. None of them is the healthy one.

Who shouldn't vape at all, nicotine or not

A 0% vape is still a vape, so it isn't for anyone under 21, anyone pregnant or breastfeeding, or anyone with asthma or another lung or heart condition unless a doctor has said otherwise. If you don't vape now, don't start because a product is nicotine-free. The healthiest option on every list, including ours, is not vaping. Deepkold is for adults who already vape or want the flavor ritual without nicotine, and who have made that choice knowing it isn't a health product.

Healthiest vape questions

What is the healthiest vape?
No vape is healthy, so the honest answer is the vape with the fewest harmful inputs: a 0% nicotine device whose maker lists a short ingredient list (propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, flavoring) and excludes diacetyl and vitamin E acetate. Removing nicotine is the biggest single change you can make while still vaping. Not vaping at all is healthier than any vape.
Is there a healthy vape without nicotine?
No. A nicotine-free vape removes the addictive stimulant, but you still inhale a heated PG/VG aerosol and flavoring, which can irritate the throat and airways. Nicotine-free vapes are a lower-risk tier of vaping, not a healthy product.
Is Deepkold a healthy vape?
No, and we don't call it one. Deepkold is 0% nicotine, batch-checked, made with propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin and food-grade flavoring, with no diacetyl, no vitamin E acetate and no THC or CBD. That is a label description, not a health claim. We make no health, safety, wellness or cessation claims.
Does Deepkold contain diacetyl or vitamin E acetate?
No. None of our vape formulas contain diacetyl, and vitamin E acetate is never used. The liquid is propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin and food-grade flavoring with 0% nicotine.
Does Deepkold publish third-party lab reports?
Not on this site today. Each batch is checked for nicotine content to confirm it reads 0%, and the full ingredient list and exclusions are on our Lab page. We don't claim a USP grade or post ISO 17025 certificates. Some zero-nicotine brands do, and that is worth weighing if lab paperwork matters most to you.
What are healthy vape alternatives?
From most to least like a vape: a refillable pod with a 0mg e-liquid you can read before filling, a flavored-air inhaler that produces no aerosol, and non-inhaled options like gum or mints. Each step removes something, but none of them is a medical or quit-smoking product.
Is there a healthiest vape flavor?
No study ranks vape flavors by harm. The known concern is specific chemicals: buttery and custard flavors are where diacetyl historically showed up, so a stated 'no diacetyl' matters most for dessert flavors. Every Deepkold flavor, including Vanilla Custard, is diacetyl-free.
Is vaping without nicotine healthier than vaping with nicotine?
Less harmful, yes; healthy, no. Removing nicotine removes its addictiveness and its effects on heart rate and blood pressure. The aerosol itself remains, so a 0% vape is the lower-risk option among vapes, not a safe one.

Deepkold makes no health, safety, wellness or cessation claims, only that it contains zero nicotine. Adults 21+.
